Super 8 is our medium of choice for creating wedding films. We're drawn to the simplicity and nostalgia of 8mm film, it quite frankly can't be matched.

WHAT IS BANG! BANG! ACADEMY
We are a team of photographers turned analog film makers. We shoot strictly on super 8mm film. We do this because it's fun - it just is. Our films capture the essence of your day in a short, intimate, and impactful way.
HOW LONG ARE THE FILMS
Not long at all. About the length of a song. 3 to 5 minutes. These are high energy shorts that are easily digestible, shareable, and something you'll want to watch over and over again.
WE WANT THE FULL CEREMONY AND SPEECHES FILMED
We don't do that. Our mission is to make a film that you'll actually watch and share with your friends and family. A lot of traditional wedding films can be upwards of two hours in length - who's got time for that?
WHO ARE YOU REALLY
We don't want to name, names, but if we have to... We are Sean and Melanie Flanigan, Dylan Howell, and Jess Woodhouse. And we've all been photographers for a really long time and probably shot over 1000 weddings collectively. Our home bases are Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.
WHAT ABOUT TRAVELING TO MY WEDDING
We'll do it. Though our hearts are in the Pacific Northwest, we travel for nearly all of our jobs. Travel is booked at cost. We take a flat fee up front to make sure our lodging, flight, and sometimes rental car is covered.
OKAY, SO HOW CAN I HIRE YOU
We'll need a signed contract and a 50% deposit of the total fee. The remaining balance would be due 30 days prior to the event.
AFTER MY WEDDING, HOW LONG UNTIL MY FILM IS READY
We'll be all wrapped up in about 90 days. We have to send the film out for processing and scan, and sometimes that can take a while. We promise, we want to get you your film as soon as possible.
WILL YOU BRING TWO SHOOTERS TO MY WEDDING
That'll cost you extra. We find that with super 8 less is more. But if you're really feeling like you need double coverage, we can make that happen.
