A Jordan Wedding in Amman – A Dream Come True

Amman, Jordan

Mona and Wael

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is the cultural, political, and economic hub of the country. Located in north-central Jordan, Amman is also one of the most beautiful cities where many Jordanian couples want to get married in.

A brief Amman history

The name Amman goes back to 13th century BC. It was the time of the Ammonites. They named the city Rabbath Ammon, meaning the capital of the king’s quarters. Over the years, Rabbath became obsolete, but Ammon remained. New civilizations later changed the name to Amman.

Wedding in Amman

Jordanian people are highly hospitable. They are loud and proud. So, when you arrange a wedding, it will be a combination of loud music, dance, and a day full of enjoyment. The wedding can go to the next level if you decide to get married in Amman. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Jordan and has numerous wedding venues that will take your breath away.

June, July, and August are the three months when Amman is at its best. The weather is spectacular for outdoor weddings. And, when you are in Amman, an outdoor wedding should be a priority. The luscious countryside setting, gorgeous grounds, the sun slowly setting in the background, and the guests blessing you for a happy marriage are just what you need for your dream wedding to come true.

Once the sun sets, it will be time for the dance floor to light up. Make sure you have enough rowdy songs. And get ready to wear out the soles of your dancing shoes and form a group. Most of the Jordan weddings last until late at night. Some couples also experience a full moon night at their wedding. This is considered auspicious by many. Imagine the trees swaying in the night wind and the light of the full moon hovering over the wedding venue as you dance with your partner with dim lights everywhere. Can’t be more romantic, right?
